Thanks to their perfect mark on the season and their equally impressive eight-game cover streak where the Bucks have covered some lofty numbers already, Ohio State's trip to Rutgers is in the land of the unprecedented. The Buckeyes are laying 52½ points, the largest price in major conference history, and they're doing it on the road.

While we are not advocating a competitive bout between these two sides, the spot is certainly there for Ohio State to fail to cover. The two toughest games on the Buckeyes’ schedule follow after this “scrimmage” with RU, as the Buckeyes close out their regular season against Penn State next week and a tough road finale in the Big House against arch nemesis Michigan on Thanksgiving weekend. With B1G and College Football Playoff hopes in sight, there is little doubt that Ohio State has already turned its attention to the upcoming matches, as they undoubtedly will determine the course of the Buckeyes fate. Rutgers is nothing but a mere formality and more of an inconvenience. When Ohio State has this game wrapped up, Coach Day will pull his first team to prevent exposure to injury and keep his talent fresh for the rigorous backstretch. OSU will have to be up by 60 points for anyone to feel comfortable at that point. If OSU wins by 53 or more in this unfavorable spot, good for them.
