North Carolina State +7 -105 over TEXAS A&M

7:30 PM EST. The Wolfpack are a hard team to get behind today because of all the intangibles that surround both the physical and mental aspect of the game. NC State will be without two top prospects in WR Kelvin Harmon and LB Germaine Pratt (who led the team in tackles). Both are projected to be high draft picks. Wolfpack offensive coordinator Eli Drinkwitz was hired to be the new head coach of the Appalachian State program, so who knows where the mindset of the offense will be, even with long time vet Ryan Finley under center. The Wolfpack were destroyed by Clemson (41-7), gave up 51 to Syracuse in a 10-point loss and also lost to Wake.

The Aggies also played Clemson and lost by two points (28-26). They played Alabama and lot 45-23. The Aggies other two losses were to Auburn by just four points and to Mississippi St. They played nine bowl teams and there is no shame in losing to four of the best programs in the country. The Aggies are without question battle tested and ready. We seen no reason to revise our original prediction that Jimbo Fisher will win a bunch of games but zero championships of any kind in a long but ultimately disappointing tenure in College Station, but this staff's immediate impact on this program has been obvious. Fisher demanded and has received tougher practices, more physical play in all three phases and a better commitment to finishing. He's also an outstanding bowl coach, and in his first turn in that role in Aggieland he draws an opponent with weaker personnel at nearly every position. The defections of Harmon and Pratt aren't helping the cause for a Wolfpack team that is outmanned in the trenches on both sides and won't be able to muster a rushing attack in this matchup.
