4:00 PM EST. These two schools are close in proximity (about 60 miles) from one another but it is rare to see a power-conference program venture into mid-major waters. OSU may regret that decision, as this will be the Cowboys first true road game of the year.

After opening the year 1-1 with a loss to Oakland thrown in, the Cowboys have reeled off four wins in a row. They played well at the Mohegan Sun last week, notching two convincing victories over UMass Lowell and NC State, but neither was a true hostile environment. The market has forgotten OSU’s loss to Oakland but we have not and now the Cowboys will face a very capable and dangerous underdog.

Oral Roberts is just 3-2 on the year but all three wins were against Division II competition (SW Christian, Haskell & Rogers State). They also lost to Central Arkansas. Overall, it’s an ugly, ugly look for ORU to start the year but let us remind you that Oral Roberts had a great showing at last year’s Big Dance and this is virtually the same team. They are still led by super-scorer Max Abmas and this is a foe they will not be intimidated by in any way. This marks the third consecutive season these two teams will meet with the Golden Eagles giving the Cowboys all they could handle in both prior matchups, losing by five points in each meeting. Both those games were in Stillwater but now the Cowboys must make the treacherous journey east to face a very good squad that is getting a pile of inflated points. Upset alert is on.
