6:00 PM EST. St. Joe’s is coming off a 97-84 win at Dayton, which is one of the more surprising scores of the year considering that the Hawks are a 3-14 team overall and a 2-9 club in the conference. How the f**k does a team this bad rack up 97 points? St. Joe’s flung 42 three-pointers at the hoop against Dayton and 18 of them happened to go through the net. The Hawks hit a ceiling so hard and now it’s time for the bounce-down crash against a 13-6 Richmond team coming home off a loss at Saint Louis where the Spiders played well enough to win despite losing and not covering. 

Richmond is a team on the bubble and since this is their last game of the regular season, they have no choice but to play their hearts out and see whether they get selected or not. Motivation for the Spiders is 100% not an issue but we have to question St. Joe’s motivation. Coming off a horrible and mentally exhausting year, it finally ends tonight for the Hawks after a satisfying win over Dayton. Remember, the Flyers still put up 84 points and Richmond can not only match that, they play a great brand of defense while St. Joe’s defense is a sieve. This seems like a lot of points but this is the year of the blowout against uninterested or unengaged squads and thus, the points means nothing when the opponent is not interested.
