DUQUESNE -14½ -110 over Fordham

2:00 EST. Recency bias is having a massive influence on this price, as Fordham is coming off an outright win over Dayton while the Dukes have dropped two straight. That sets us up to get the host at a great price and we’re all over it.

Before beating Dayton 55-54 only because the Flyers couldn’t hit a shot, Fordham lost to George Washington by 24 and to LaSalle by 36. They would have lost to Dayton by 20 also if the Flyers would’ve sank their open shots. The Rams have scored 54, 47 and 55 points respectively in their three games played this year and they are taking a massive step up in class today.

We were on the Dukes last game out as a home underdog to Davidson and we ripped up our ticket but it’s not going to deter us from coming right back on them here. We love that Duquesne is 0-2 in its last two games in the unforgiving A-10. Duquesne remains high on our radar. Here is a team with no market presence and just five games under their belt this year. Duquesne’s two wins came against UNC Greensboro and GW so again, their body of work does not look very good on paper but make no mistake that they have played five tough teams. The Dukes are overflowing with experience and explosiveness. As many as six guys have the chops to go for 20 on any given night and they’re on the verge of playing like the well-oiled machine that they are. They’ll come into this one in a foul mood and they could not have handpicked a better opponent to get things rolling against.
