West Virginia +5½ over BAYLOR

4:00 PM EST. This is typically the time of year where upsets happen all over the place, as teams try to earn an at-large bid or a better seeding. Baylor is almost assured a #1 seed but West Virginia’s seeding is up for grabs and a win here would go a long way into determining its position. The Bears at 22-1 remain No. 1 in the AP poll, but they are wobbling after recent close calls against Texas, Oklahoma State and Kansas State -- three teams nowhere near the Top 25. The Bears are probably going down again soon and this looks like as good a spot as any for that to occur.

The Mountaineers folded down the stretch Wednesday in a loss to Kansas, but coach Bob Huggins is typically reliable in bounce-back spots. West Virginia, which ranks No. 2 in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency, can lean on forwards Derek Culver and Oscar Tshiebwe to match Baylor's frontcourt strength. Baylor’s lack of an inside presence hasn’t cost them yet but West Virginia knows a thing or two about how to exploit weaknesses and prepare for a juggernaut.
