7:00 PM EST. There is much to like about the Tigers in this spot, so we'll get started. First, Clemson has not cashed a ticket in over 2½ weeks, which will win it no fans in this market. Secondly, the Tigers just dropped a 12-point decision to Wake Forest as a small road favorite, so their stock is plummeting. Thirdly, Clemson is taking back a significant pile of points here in a game that has an incredibly low total, as these are two of the lowest-scoring teams in the conference. Finally, the Tigers catch the 2019 champions in the middle of a resurgence that has seen the Cavaliers win three of their last four games, including a 61-56 win over #8 Florida State last time out with another ranked opponent on deck.

Virginia will take on #5 Louisville next, which sets up the perfect sandwich spot for the Tigers to take advantage of. At 14-6, the Cavaliers received just one vote in this week's AP Top-25 and so they are still looking to build a strong résumé to present to the selection committee. It might be easy to overlook the 11-10 Tigers, but that would be foolish. Clemson has a really nice signature win of its own, a 79-72 victory over Duke. It also beat North Carolina. Sure, the Tar Heels are having a down year, but it's still nice to knock them down a peg. The situation, the total and the team we are backing make for a strong play. The Tigers are without question the value play here and so we’ll sit back and let the chips fall where they may.
