11:00 PM EST. This is as good a situational spot as it gets for the home team. Utah State is really the only team in the Mountain West that has a legit shot of beating San Diego State and that’s the focus here. You see, San Diego State is 21-0 overall and the Aggies will play host to the Aztecs right after this game on Saturday night. For the Aggies of Utah State, this game in Wyoming tonight is an afterthought and inconvenience more than anything else. Remember, these are just amateur kids and these kids from Utah State have their biggest game ever on deck Saturday night against the only undefeated team in the country. It would be unreasonable to expect Utah State to be entirely focused on Wyoming.

San Diego State will play New Mexico tomorrow so there is a chance it won’t be undefeated anymore but going into tonight, Utah State has no idea of knowing if the Aggies will win or lose but the assumption of course will be that they’ll win. It’s interesting to note that New Mexico lost its last game to Nevada 96-74 with tomorrow’s game against SDSU on deck. This past Saturday, UNLV lost by just four to SDSU but in the game prior with SDSU on deck, UNLV lost to Nevada 86-72. We’ve seen the last three teams that had SDSU on deck get whacked in the game prior to facing them and now it’s the Aggies turn to play a game before hosting the Aztecs. It is rare to see a mid-major team undefeated after 21 games and it’s also rare that a conference foe gets a crack at beating a 21-0 team. Utah State gets that shot on Saturday night with the CBS Sports Network crew all set to cover it. Massive lookahead spot for the chalk and it’s worth fading it.
