Golden State +7½ over L.A. Lakers

In a stealthy, CIA-level operation, Los Angeles pulled off a three-team blockbuster, sending Anthony Davis to Dallasand somehow landing Luka Don?i?. The league was left in shock—not even Don?i? or LeBron knew it was coming. Now, the Lakers are scrambling to build chemistry on the fly, but the hype around them has already hit fever pitch. Tuesday night, they annihilated the Clippers 122-97—without AD or Luka—and now the market is treating them like title contenders before Luka even suits up.

Meanwhile, Golden State rolled into Utah last night and promptly face-planted. Not exactly an inspiring performance, but hey, maybe they were looking ahead to this matchup. The Warriors have also dropped both games to the Lakers this season, so naturally, with all the excitement around L.A., the market has hammered the Lakers. L.A. opened as a -5.5 favorite, and now we’re getting nearly an extra Steph Curry Special (a.k.a. three-pointer) at +8. We’ll gladly take the inflated points with Golden State.
