MILWAUKEE -4½ over Miami

7:35 PM EST. Seven three-pointers for the Heat’s Duncan Robinson in Game 1, eh? That’s a bit much, don’t you think? Yeah, we think so, too, given that he averaged only 13.1 ppg in the regular season. It was shades of last season’s Miami 2020 Second Round series win against the Bucks, as Miami set a franchise record for most three-pointers made in a playoff game (20) but this time, it wasn’t good enough for the straight-up win but it was more than enough for the cover and that’s all that matters. This time around we get some recency bias working in our favor.

Milwaukee’s putrid 5-for 31 three-point shooting was pretty much the only reason Miami covered in Game 1. In the paint for Milwaukee’s OT Game 1 victory were 56 for the Bucks, only 24 for the Heat. The Heat beat the shooting odds to win last year’s series and then beat the shooting odds to cover the spread on Saturday. One of these nights, they’re gonna run outta luck but more important is that we get the Buckaroos at a discount here.
