Portland +110 over DENVER

10:05 PM EST. Dominant big men, like Denver’s Nikola Jokic, can be game-planned against in the postseason, which is why the “good, experienced guards” thing is so important. Denver runs its offense through the 6’11”, 270 Nikola Jokic, whose name you can’t see or hear without “leading MVP candidate” preceding or following it. That’s nice but the Blazers hounded Jokic and took away his passing in Game 1. He scored 34 points but had only 1 assist. (he averages 8.3 assists per game). No Jamal Murray – in whose hands you’d always find the ball during the Nuggets’ strong playoff showing last season -- the Blazers have Jokic covered, and Austin Rivers and Facundo Campazzo are the Nuggets’ starting guards playing 33 and 35 minutes respectively against Lillard and McCollum? Seriously? Seriously. Portland is -330 to win the series after Game 1. That tells us all we need to know about which team to bet in Game 2.
