L.A. Lakers -111 over TORONTO

7:30 PM EST. While we are quite aware of the current plight of these "No Time" Lakers (no Lebron, no Anthony Davis) this play has little to do with the purple and gold and much to do with fading the Raptors after an emotional dump last night. You see, coming into the fourth quarter of that game with the Wizards, the Raps were stuck 11 points but battled all the way back before giving up the lead, 101-100, with just a few ticks left on the clock. You may have seen what happened next, as Gary Trent Jr. chucked up a game-winning 3-point shot that would have made Gonzaga blush. He and his teammates were freaking out, jumping, dancing and airplane spinning their way to the locker room. Trent Jr. was needed to step up, as both Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet were scratched from the lineup. One or both could return tonight, but we suspect that will only push the market further in the Raps direction if they do suit up.

Situationally speaking, the Raptors have played two pretty crazy games their last two trips out, including just last night. In their contest prior to tipping off with the Wiz, the Raps smashed Golden State 130-77. While we see some crooked numbers night in and night out, a near 60 margin of victory is going to turn some heads. Now, for the first time in nearly two months, Toronto has a chance to piece together three wins in a row. With the Lakers coming off a blowout loss of their own (104-86 versus the Clippers), they may look like an easy target. However, we know there are no free lunches in this market. There might be "No Time" better than this to fade the Raps. Lakers outright is the call.
