Memphis +140 over PHILADELPHIA

7:00 PM EST. The Grizzlies are coming off a blowout win over Minnesota, but we suspect that most will put little stock into such an effort. However, it was on the last game of a quick two-game homestand that was sandwiched in between two roadies, so we like that the effort was there, especially considering the situation. Now the Grizz get to head back out on the road with their first stop coming in Philadelphia.

The 76ers just got back from a road trip of their own and have one game under their belts, a win over those same Timberwolves, which was just last night. This one might be a tough one to get up for, situationally speaking, as the Sixers will head right back out on the road with games against Boston, New Orleans and OKC on deck. To those unaware of the situation, this might look like a soft number on the home favorites, but buyer beware, as Philly has just come off playing some of the big guns in the west (Nuggets, Clippers, Lakers, Warriors). Now they face the Grizzlies with the Celtics on deck. At some point, one has to take time to breathe and this game might be one of those games that is really tough to get up for. The Sixers were slow out of the gate last night, but the T-Wolves are the T-wolves, so they found a way to lose that game. However, the Grizz are not likely to be as accommodating.

Memphis is a .500 ball team that is very much in the thick of it when it comes to the playoff picture. While we cannot guarantee that their shots will fall, the Grizz are a tough out just about every night and they rarely lack in effort. Lastly, the 76ers turn the ball over an average of 15.3 times per game, which is bottom three in the Association. Memphis gets the most steals per game, 9.7 so if Philly comes in without 100% focus, the setup for an upset is in place. The line also screams upset. That's the kind of live dog we can get on board with.
