MIAMI -2 over Portland

7:30 PM EST. The Blazers just played Brooklyn real tight and were just a 6-point favorite to beat the Nets and now in the first game of a trip, they are a small underdog in Miami. That doesn't seem right. It is hard to derive how Miami is favored here, considering El Heat have not won a game in its last four attempts and failed to cash a ticket over this current bad run. The list of Miami assailants includes Phoenix by 10 points and then three losses obtained against Indiana twice and Memphis once.

Portland has the better overall record and although the Blazers failed to produce a profit against the Nets, the market will forgive the Blazers’ four-point loss because losing to Brooklyn with or without their star-studded cast rolled out in full is considered an honor at this point. We would be remiss to highlight that Brooklyn is now considered the favorite to win the NBA title with LeBron James’ injury sending shockwaves through the league landscape.

Sometimes it’s just about recognizing something that isn’t right, very much like Denver being a pork-chop favorite over the then free-falling Raps last night. There wasn’t a publication on the continent that was pimping the Raptors but man, there sure were a lot on the Nuggets.

The efficient market got a hold of this game early when the Heat were a -4-point favorite but we’re going to take the position that the market isn’t very efficient at all because if they were, all these new sportsbooks popping wouldn’t be doing everything possible, other than bringing the buffet table to your doorstep, to get you in the door.
