ORLANDO +7½ over Denver

7:30 PM EST. Perhaps some “experts” are deciphering this tilt as a bounce-back opportunity for the Nuggets after they were upset at home on Sunday by the New Orleans Pelicans or maybe there is some other rationale that cites meaningless trends to get behind the Mile High City (such as Denver going 3-0-1 ATS in their last four in Orlando or being 15-5-3 ATS overall against the Magic in the last 23 matches), but the fact remains that these invented narratives and statistical analyses fail to point out that getting behind Denver in said circumstances means you’re paying more points than is warranted.

One can model and forecast the Nuggets to be a double-digit favorite and see no danger in backing them here because there is no revenge angle in play but once again opinions don’t cash tickets, finding value does. One thing is for certain, the Magic certainly have the wherewithal to hang with an “elite” team. After all, they just defeated Brooklyn at home on Friday outright as a 10½-point pup and in doing so managed to keep an ensemble spearheaded by Kyrie Irving and James Harden under 30% from three-point range. Orlando was in a prime letdown spot on Sunday when it went into Boston off the heels of the shocker it pulled against Brooklyn. The Magic subsequently fell by 12 to the C’s despite only taking back nine at the tip, alas depleting any rise in their stock. After checking out numerous forums and not finding any arguments to back the Magic, we’re going to trust that Orlando is indeed taking back inflated points and are supposed to cover.
