Milwaukee -9 -109 over Miami

4:00 PM EST. There may not be a better time to back the Bucks than perhaps now, as it is almost a certainty that the Deer will be working at an inflated number once the NBA Playoffs begin. However, right now, the stock in the Bucks has popped like a balloon after Cream City fell in a shocking upset to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday when they were defeated 119-116 despite closing as an 18½-point choice. That loss has influenced this market in a big way and now we’re the beneficiaries of the Bucks at a deflated cost. There is also a second reaction here, which is the heightened market presence on Mimi after it orchestrated an upset of the Boston Celtics on Tuesday as a five-point pup.

It is very well possible that Milwaukee got caught looking past Brooklyn in their match-up on Tuesday. You see, the Nets were playing with a makeshift lineup after losing most of their talent due to injury or most notably, several of their players being shut-down for the remainder of the season due to exposure to COVID-19. The Nets put together a shoe-string ensemble of personnel and the Bucks were likely guilty of what many others were likely thinking: Brooklyn would show up only in body and not in spirit but that fate fell on the favorite. We would be remiss to presume Milwaukee will not be bringing their A-Game against the Heat, who has already beaten them twice this season. In both of the aforementioned contests, the Heat closed as an 11½ and then a five-point underdog respectively. We would be hard-pressed to believe that the Heat will strike again for a third-time in a row when the incentive for Milwaukee to win this game is at a maximum. The Bucks own the best offense in the league (scoring 118.6 points per game) and are the best in disrupting the opposition’s shooting (41.3 opponent field goal percentage). We’ll see the Bucks unleash both on the Heat here to atone for their early season letdowns against Miami and remind all why one should “Fear the Deer” in the wake of the titanic upset they endured. Fortunately for us, we get the Bucks at a bargain of a price. Dig in.
