L.A. CLIPPERS -11½ -101 over Orlando

10:30 PM EST. We're going back to the well to fade the Magic tonight and why not? If we thought Orlando was ripe for a whooping last night, then how can we not step in after it beat the Lakers. Everything we wrote about the Magic yesterday stands up today and if you are backing them now in their second straight night at Staples Center, you are going with the worst of it. Orlando has cashed in five straight and seven of their last eight. That game last night was also an emotional one for the Magic, as they were up 20 points on multiple occasions, including in the third quarter before the Lakers would storm back and take a lead midway through the fourth quarter. When the dust settled, the Magic won 119-118. If Orlando has anything left in the tank tonight, so be it, but the Magic figure to be running on fumes in this spot.

Unlike the Magic, the Clippers have not been kind to their backers as of late. The Clip Show has failed to cover in four of five, including some weak competition like the Warriors and Knicks. L.A. was a -9½ point choice against New York and now they are double digits against a team that is paying out like a broken slot machine. How can that be? There is a reason this number is as high as it is and we're going to trust the oddsmakers got it right, as they expect a blowout.
