8:05 PM EST. The 76ers are coming off a 115-107 loss at Sacramento and on the surface that is a disappointing defeat, but that it happened after back-to-back wins over the Lakers and Warriors. The fact that it was also on the last night of a four-game West Coast road trip make that transgression quite forgivable. It's not like the 76ers played poorly either, the Kings just made their three-pointers while Philly did not. Joel Embiid went off for 29 points and 17 rebounds, which was his fifth straight double-double. The Sixers were also without their main long ball threat in JJ Redick, who was rested on Saturday night. Forward Wilson Chandler, who is expected to miss two weeks with an injured quad also missed that game in SacTown. A few days rest will likely serve the 76ers well, as will a return home where they are 21-5.

If we're going to be looking towards the Clippers today because of an overreaction to that lopsided loss in the co-main event spot on Super Sunday, then we must also do our due diligence to see what is on deck for the Raptors, which brings us to this game in Philly. That the Raps are a pooch tonight after such a strong showing on what is basically a national holiday could turn some heads today, but we have to wonder what this number would have been had the 76ers taken care of business in their last game and/or the Raps were to have struggled with the Clip Joint. A closer look at Toronto shows that maybe their nightly makeshift lineups are starting to catch up with the them. The Raptors got beat badly by the Bucks 105-92 in what was a high profile showdown by the two top teams in the East and they also lost 117-108 when playing another top side in Boston in the middle of January. Sure, the Raps can beat up on Dallas, Sacramento, Memphis and Phoenix without a struggle, but when they play the big boys, they've proven they are not yet ready for prime time. With winnable games on the horizon against the Knicks and Hawks, we wouldn't be shocked if Toronto folds if pushed hard by a legit Eastern Conference contender. The 76ers are underpriced on their home floor and we have no problem swallowing these points. Neither should you.
