9:30 PM EST. We were on the Celtics last night and although we ripped up our ticket, we are not going to back off them here. We highlighted a few reasons why the Cs might have been undervalued on the road in Phoenix and now we can pile on further, as they are playing on back-to-back nights after failing to cover in that game. Not only that, but the Celtics were looking at a sure loss against the stinking Suns before forcing overtime and squeaking out the win, which does nothing to dispel the notion that Boston is in a funk.

This is being called a "revenge" game for Utah, as Gordon Hayward will make his long-anticipated return to the Beehive State after he bolted for a greener pasture (and uniform) in Beantown, but we warn you not to get caught up in that crap. Sure, Hayward spent seven seasons with the Jazz, but he left more than two years ago and time heals all wounds. Hayward missed the Cs game in Salt Lake City last season after suffering a devastating leg injury in Boston's home opener. Any hostile feelings from the very friendly folks in SLC may have had went out the window, as Hayward screamed in agony after putting his foot on backward. In the time since Hayward's departure, Jazz fans have grown to love guard Donovan Mitchell and his emergence has made the loss of Hayward much easier. Even Gordon's former teammates don't hold his decision to leave after becoming an all-star against him, "he's a good guy," said Rudy Gobert, "sometimes you make choices that you think are good for you and we're not here to judge anyone. It's just a game. We're just going to go play basketball and that's it." The fact Hayward's Celtics haven't quite clicked isn't hurting his former clubs feelings, but it does provide us with a buy-low opportunity on one of the NBA's top teams.
