Nikita Krylov +125 over Johnny Walker

6:45 PM EST. This contest is expected to be a banger, as both Nikita Krylov and Johnny Walker are known for their propensity to finish fights. We'll start with Walker, who is still no doubt the UFC's "A" side in this equation. The Brazilian was on the fast track to a title shot after three straight highlight reel knockouts that all earned him a Performance of the Night bonus. In his highly anticipated bout with Corey Anderson at UFC 244 last November, Walker saw his hype train derailed when "Overtime" put him down just over two minutes into the first round. In the time since that loss, Walker has changed camps, moving from former coach Leo Gosling to Tristar in Montreal. Walker blamed that most unfavorable result on Gosling and many are calling the defeat a "wake up" call for Walker, but we're not so sure. It's impossible to know how a fighter will respond after a loss, but Walker blowing up everything may have been a rash decision. This fight in his home country was very much set up to be a showcase to get Walker back on track, but Nikita Krylov is no pushover.

In his 25 professional wins, "The Miner'' has 25 finishes. 10 of those victories came by way of knockout, while 15 more were of the submission variety. Krylov is an experienced and accomplished mixed martial artist, which is more than we can say for his opposition. It's not that Walker isn't, we just haven't seen enough from him to know because he's spent less than five total minutes in the Octagon over four fights. "The Miner'' on the other hand, is battle-tested and although he is just 1-2 since returning to the UFC, his split decision loss to Glover Teixeira could have gone either way. That contest was the first time that Krylov has gone the distance in his 32 fight career. If there was ever a fight that deserved a crowd, it's in this one, but it will be contested in front of an empty arena, which wipes out much of the "home-field" advantage for Walker. That makes taking back a price on Krylov very appealing, as his chances to win are much greater than these odds suggest.
