L.A. Dodgers +102 over Tampa Bay

4:10 PM EST. Tyler Glasnow, (RHP - TB) began the season on the injured list due to a left oblique strain, and is set to make his 2023 debut against the Dodgers. Glasnow's latest injury comes on the heels of a challenging past few seasons for Glasnow, who also underwent Tommy John surgery in 2021. Glasnow has not pitched since Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series against Cleveland in last season’s playoffs.

The Dodgers have been plagued by injuries, particularly to their rotation, but Clayton Kershaw (LHP - LAD) has been instrumental in shouldering the load. However, in his last outing, he struggled, surrendering four runs in just 3.2 innings in a 10-5 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Kershaw expressed frustration and disappointment with his performance, but that most recent result was the exception and not the norm this season.

Across 57.1 innings, Kershaw has 69 punchouts to just 14 walks. Kershaw is flaming hitters this season with his elite first-pitch strike rate of 69.1% and his elite swing-and-miss rate of 15.6%. Although the prospect of backing Kershaw as an underdog is obviously appealing, that is not why we are here. This is a situational play, as Kershaw returns from the bereavement list after the death of his mother. It’s going to be all hands on deck for the Dodgers today, as they try and win one for their ace, and Mama Kershaw.
