Pittsburgh +137 over Seattle

10:10 PM EST. Mitch Keller (RHP - PIT) has been sneaky good for the Pirates for longer than one might think, but this has been his breakout season. As they do, the Bucs went full Bucs and were very cheap in how they handled Keller in the offseason, offering him just a one-year contract. Solid starting pitching is not only hard to find, but it's not cheap. Keller bet on himself in 2023 and knock on wood, it's going to pay off for him on his next contract.

As for his performance this season, Keller has been lights out on the mound. With a record of 5-1 and an impressive 2.44 ERA, he has emerged as the most unlikely Cy Young Award contender in the National League in a fortnight. Keller has fanned 77 batters across 47 innings while sporting a gorgeous WHIP of 0.97, as he's only gifted 14 free passes.

On the other side, the Mariners will send George Kirby (RHP - SEA) to the mound. Kirby has looked great as well, going 5-3 and having a solid surface ERA of 2.62, but his xERA is over a run higher at 3.73. There is nothing wrong with Kirby, and if he were an underdog somewhere tonight, he'd have been on our radar. If we were going to flip a coin, and the oddsmakers were going to give us +135 odds on heads, we'd make that bet until they made us stop. That is akin to what we have in this ball game. All the value is on the visiting Pirates. We hope to see you at the pay window.
