2:15 PM EST. We aren't going to focus much on the Tigers or their starter, Spencer Turnbull (RHP - DET), as this is a fade on their opposition this afternoon. However, we'll note that Turnbull is still working his way back from Tommy John surgery, with his last outing being a season-high 88-pitch effort against Baltimore.

Adam Wainwright (RHP - STL) makes his first start of the season after recovering from a groin muscle strain sustained during the World Baseball Classic. He went 11-12 with a 3.71 ERA last season but posted an inflated xERA of 4.53. Wainwright also struck out just 143 batters in 191.2 innings, which was the largest workload of any starting pitcher in his age 40-season or older since 2015. We faded Wainwright last season, and we see no reason to let up here in 2023, especially at a preposterously inflated price like this.
