Toronto -1½ +120 over Baltimore

7:05 PM EST. The Blue Jays’ bats did not cool off yesterday despite the 9-6 defeat. Toronto belted out 13 hits to Baltimore’s 9 and have now racked up 38 hits (double-digit hits in all three games) in the first three games of this series. Toronto’s onslaught of hits isn’t likely to end here against Dean Kremer (RHP - BAL).

Dean Kremer totes back-to-back gems coming into this one. Kremer logged a 6.94 ERA/4.77 xERA across five June starts. He’s been terrific since. The Orioles right-hander owns a 2.37 ERA, 0.95 WHIP over his last 38 IP. All that gets tilted against a foe with big numbers against him. Current Toronto bats own an aggregate 1.008 OPS against Kremer in 56 career AB’s.

Alek Manoah (RHP - TOR) heads into this road start at Camden Yards off back-to-back-back gems against Pittsburgh, the Angels and the Yanks. Manoah has logged a 3.78 ERA/3.26 xERA in three starts against the Orioles in 2022. Current O’s are hitting a mere .218 against Manoah. Furthermore, despite winning a lot of games, Baltimore owns a mere .677 OPS over its last 13 games and Manoah owns a 2.15 ERA over his last six road starts.

Finally, if you watched Toronto/Baltimore last night, you saw things get heated in the seventh inning when the dugouts were emptied although nothing came of it. We liked to see that from the Blue Jays. For a team that is always joking around and high-fiving everything, it was the type of intensity that was much needed to get their blood boiling in the heat of a playoff race. Toronto is the vastly superior team here by a significant margin and need to put these overachievers in their place. The Jays were unlucky to lose yesterday and didn;t need luck to hammer the Orioles in the first two games of this series. Cream to the top again here.

Our Pick
