Colorado +260 over Atlanta

7:20 PM EST. Over the past four seasons, Kyle Wright has been up and down from the minors more times than the wheels on the bus go round and round. All of sudden, Wright strikes gold with a season for the ages and we’re absolutely not going to suggest it’s a fluke. He found something and it’s working big time with 148 K’s in 144 frames to go along with a skills supported 2.99/3.28 ERA/xERA split. However, he’s coming off a seven-inning start last game and has pitched into the seventh inning in four of his last seven games. In this new era, that’s a lot. If Kyle Wright thrives here and Atlanta wins going away, it would surprise nobody but the price here dictates the play.

Ryan Feltner's (RHP - COL) first full season in the majors has been one he'd probably like to forget, with a 5.87 ERA and 1.42 WHIP, but he's been hurt quite a bit by a low strand rate and by the park he pitches in. His xERA indicates he's been about what was expected, a back-end starter, albeit a low-strikeout one. Control has been his best skill, and while that tracks with his MLB BB% from 2021, his sub-indicators have only been league average: a 36% Ball%, and a 59% first-pitch strike rate. The Rockies' constant shuttling of Feltner between Triple-A and the majors this season probably hasn't helped him do his best work. There are some observers who believe that the 25-year-old Feltner will eventually wind up in the bullpen, and that his fastball and slider might play up there. In any case, we have seen this kid dominate too many times to ignore him at this price. The risk is high but the reward is so good that we’re going to stick with Feltner just in case he throws one of his gems.
