Kansas City +110 over Minnesota

8:10 PM EST. We locked in on Kansas City on May 10 and we are riding the Royals up until May 24th when they conclude a two-game set in Arizona. Since we started backing them daily, we are 4-5. This is game 10 of 15 in which we'll get behind the Royals.

Today’s starting pitchers:

Daniel Lynch (LHP - KC) has been pitching well this year (3.30 ERA). Even though the skills are skeptical (4.86 xERA), he did pass a big test when he tamed Coors Field in his last start (5.3 IP, 0 ER, 4 BB/4 K). Across his last two starts, 9 BB/10 K is somewhat concerning, so we’ll keep a close eye on his command and monitor whether he’s overpriced and underpriced moving forward.

The ultra-funky Devin Smeltzer (LHP - MIN) is pitching in the Minnesota rotation because of injuries and not because he earned a spot on the roster. Yep, that just about sums it up. Another guy with solid command and seemingly good strikeout stuff, it’s apparent (or at least it seems that way) that it’s the kind of stuff that fools lesser-than hitters. He’s been slapped with average grades on pretty much every pitch, which is interesting enough in its own right. In his first start of the year, the light-hitting Guardians/Indians/Baseball team made him look like Steve Carlton. This is his second start.
