Cincinnati +127 over Pittsburgh

1:35 PM EST. The Reds are a play daily until May 26. We began backing the Reds on May 10 and so far we are 3-2. This is Game 6 of 16 of our continuous play on the Reds and here is today’s pitching matchup:

After six starts, Jose Quintana (LHP - PIT) is 1-1 with an ERA of 2.70. We’re pretty sure you know what’s coming next. Throughout his career, Quintana has made the most out of his subpar swing-and-miss stuff, but the margin for error has always been kind of thin. With the velocity slowly fading and Ball% settling in at a pretty high level, things have started to head south. Quintana's xERA sits at 4.40. Over his past three starts, his xERA 5.36. An 80% strand rate has kept his surface ERA low but there are a bunch of blowups on the horizon.

Hunter Greene’s (RHP - CIN) introduction to the Big Show has not gone as planned, on the surface that is. Underneath Greene’s awful 7.36 ERA are some rock solid skills. Dude has 35 K’s in 26 innings. His 62% first-pitch strike rate does not correlate to the amount of walks he’s issued (15). Few pitching prospects in history had the amount of hype prior to their debut than Greene. A 6’5’’, 230 lb athletic hard-throwing beast is six starts into his MLB career. His 1-5 record and bloated ERA means we get him and the Reds at a price today.
