COLORADO -1½ +232 over San Francisco

4:10 PM EST. Speaking of exhilarating weekends, the Giants took two of three from their most hated rival and MLB powerhouse, Los Angeles Dodgers. Fans flocked to Oracle for a great weekend of September baseball in the heat of a pennant race. To say it was a gratifying series win for the Giants would be an understatement. After playing in a playoff-like atmosphere in what had to feel like the actual playoffs to every player on the field, the Giants now have to travel to play in Colorado. That’s like playing an exhibition game on Monday after winning the World Series on Sunday. It’s a big letdown spot that we have to try and take advantage of. Furthermore, the Rockies win way more games than they should at home and always have. This year, only the Dodgers and White Sox have more home victories than the Rockies.

Kevin Gausman (RHP - SF) has delivered the straight goods in four of his last five starts. However, length has undoubtedly been an issue for the Giants ace, as he owns just one outing of six innings or more since July 19. Let him go five strong and we’d still make this wager because it is Colorado’s Kyle Freeland that is flying under the radar.

Kyle Freeland (LHP - COL) posted some sneaky stats in August (3.41 ERA, 1.03 WHIP in 29 IP). His skills were even better than those stats: 30% K%, 4% BB%, 26% K-BB%, 50% grounders and a 3.13 xERA. Kyle Freeland is making some serious noise that is not being heard and we’ll also try to take advantage of that.
