TAMPA BAY-1½ +228 over N.Y. Yankees

1:10 PM EST. The Yankees took the first two games of this series and made a big splash in the trade market last night after picking up Joey Gallo from Texas.

We've written extensively about Garrit Cole (RHP - NYY) and his fondness for the sticky stuff, thus we trust there is a great opportunity to attack him today. In his last start against Boston, Cole gave up three runs on six hits in five innings. Dude is giving up hits and walking guys left and right.

Luis Patiño (RHP - TAM) obviously does not have the market standing of his opposition, but that's alright because this kid is going to be good. Real good. His 5.26 ERA is bloated, but his xERA is a perfectly serviceable 3.65. A low strand rate of 56.3% suggests that the latter is not smoke and mirrors, as he's not benefited from much luck on the mound. Patino has split time between the big club and Triple-A Durham. While with the Bulls, Patino has been lights out whiffing batters with a 16.5% swing and miss rate. He's sitting at 11.6% with the Rays, so the potential to move from good to elite is there. He also has a 1.04 ERA at home while the Yanks have struggled against RHP with a .699 OPS.
