Detroit -1½ +146 over KANSAS CITY

2:10 PM EST. Eat. Sleep. Tigers. Repeat. If you thought ripping up our tickets last night were going to keep us from coming right back on Detroit this afternoon, well, you were mistaken. We love the Tigers baby big three like they were our own and we take offense when they are disrespected by this market. Today, Tarik Skubal (LHP - DET) will take his turn and he will try to stop the modest two game skid his team is on. Prior to being tough luck losers the last two nights, Detroit had ripped off seven straight post All-Star break victories. They outhit the Royals on Friday and they had a 6-0 lead last night before giving it all back in a 9-8 final.

Daniel Lynch (LHP - KAN) is one of the Royals highly touted pitching prospects, but he’s yet to find his footing in the bigs. While the sample size is small , the big man has struggled going 0-2 across two starts with a bloated ERA of 15.75. The Tigers have already taken their hacks against Lynch this season and they apparently liked what they saw after knocking the 6’6” hurler around the yard for four runs on seven hits in less than three innings pitched. Since then, Lynch has been working his troubles out at Triple-A Omaha and while he’s pitched a little better lately, it’s not very inspiring, as he has given up three runs on eight hits over 10 innings, which covers his last two starts for the Storm Chasers. The Tigers have been feasting for a while and we suspect they’ll be hungry again today with some fresh meat on the mound. Let’s Eat.
