Atlanta -1½ +217 over PHILADELPHIA

7:05 PM EST. If we thought the Braves were a short priced favorite yesterday, how do you think we feel about them today?

Max Fried (LHP - ATL) might be just 7-5, but he is coming off a gem last Saturday when he spun seven shutout innings against the Rays. With starters getting pulled earlier and more often, it's nice that more often than not you can rely on a strong arm like Fried to hopefully go more than five innings. Like we wrote yesterday, Fried and the Braves are under the radar, as they are four games back of the Mets in the NL East at just 47-48. Injuries have not helped, but they have skewed the market's perception of what was a preseason World Series favorite.

Zack Wheeler (RHP - PHI) is having a career year. He was an All-Star and is in the conversation for the NL Cy Young award. To be honest, he's been pretty good. However, the rest of his teammates, not so much. That includes a bullpen that cannot be trusted and a lineup that is significantly outperforming its run differential. Despite the success, Wheeler's stock is trading at an all time high. Selling now, while buying low on the Braves is the prudent play again today.
