L.A. Angels -101 over OAKLAND

9:40 PM EST. We'll keep this one short and sweet, Shohei Ohtani (RHP - LAA) is the most exciting player west of Vladdy Jr., and that covers A LOT of territory. We discussed the Angels and how undervalued they are yesterday and we just can't pull up now. Today, we get the best pitcher in this matchup and it's not close.

Cole Irvin (LHP - OAK) has gained some traction in fantasy circles, as he posts six wins and a 3.65 ERA, but with those six wins come eight losses, which are often not counted in many formats. Here in the real world, Irvin is less than impressive and should not be favored over Ohtani, regardless of venue, with or without Mike Trout in the lineup. Irvin has a poor ground ball rate (36.9%) an xERA (4.63) that is a near full point higher than his surface number and a swing and miss rate that is a miserable 9.6%. Three big strikes.
