SEATTLE -1½ +199 over NY Yankees

10:10 PM EST. We love that the Yanks scored 12 times last night because it brings attention to them and raises their already inflated stock. We have no idea what’s going to happen in this contest but we do know that the wrong side is favored. Would it surprise you to learn that Seattle has a better record than the Yanks?

Domingo Gérman (RHP - NYY) has been tagged for a 7.71 ERA/6.01 xERA over his last five games started. Let’s not forget that a domestic violence suspension cost him the entire season last year and he briefly announced his retirement in mid-July before recanting the next day. A year away from game action followed by 15 starts covering 76 frames and it appears as though Gérman is experiencing fatigue and frustration. Obviously, he doesn’t handle things well. Now add in a diminishing swing & miss rate with too many fly balls and you have the recipe of why dude is struggling. He’s an emotional wreck that doesn’t know if he’s coming or going.

Yusei Kikuchi (LHP - SEA) was spectacular in June, with a 1.90 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over four starts, supported by a 3.37 xERA. He was then spectacular in Toronto’s extreme hitter-friendly venue they call home. He's thrown four gems in his past six starts. The M’s are quietly 45-41. They have a better record than the Blue Jays, Yanks, Angels and many others and hold all the value here.
