L.A. Angels +142 over N.Y. YANKEES

7:05 PM EST. Look, we know that Dylan Bundy (RHP - LAA) looks just about impossible to bet at this stage, but you know what, that's kind of the point. Dude is 1-7 and has a bloated 6.88 ERA and now he's playing the New York Motherfucking Yankees. However, look at that price. We see elite teams in the majors spot 2-1 or 3-1 with regularity, yet not today. The market surely noticed, as it got hold of the opening number of -145 and drove the Yanks up as if the books are just giving it away. We're not going to sugarcoat Bundy's struggles in 2021, but we're also not going to write him off as his xERA is 4.54, which suggests that better days might yet be coming.

Michael King (RHP NYY) takes the bump in "The House that George Built" and is there a better example of the premium price that one must pay to play the Pinstripers? While this number may look short to the efficient market, King is no elite prospect, as he was a 12th round pick of Miami in 2016. At the time of his graduation, King projected as a long reliever at best, and there is nothing he's shown in his limited time in the show to dispel that notion. Dude is an east/west hurler when that profile has gone the way of the dodo. This is a north/south game now and the fact that King cannot get opposing hitters to swing and miss at his best stuff (8.7% swing and miss) is a big red flag. Whether King is destined for the bullpen or will max out as a back end starter is up for some debate, at least in the minds of the Yanks. However, paying an inflated price to find out is not something we can get behind. While it might not look like it, this is a huge overlay.
