Toronto +117 over BOSTON

7:10 PM EST. The Blue Jays are having a blast in Boston and quite frankly, we can’t find a single reason to not come right back on them here. After losing the opener after the Red Sox got very lucky, the Jays swatted the Red Sox aside in the two follow up games. The Jays are seeing beach balls right now and we highly doubt that Nathan Eovaldi (RHP - BOS) is going to put an end to it. Eovaldi is throwing strikes but his hard-hit ball % is high at 27%. Over his last five starts, everything is trending the wrong way for Eovaldi including a troublesome batted ball profile of 38%/29%/33% groundballs/line-drive/fly-balls.

Alex Manoah’s (RHP - TOR) potential ace upside is still under the radar. This kid has the tools to be scary good but the window to get him cheap is still open. You see, the reports out of the alternate site last year weren’t great. A rumored dip in velocity caused many to believe Manoah was destined for a bullpen role. However, thus far, he’s showing the skills that made him the 11th pick overall in 2019. The fastball has returned to form (he was 93-97 last start) and he’s sprinkling in much improved secondaries. In his last 12 innings in the minors, he was virtually unhittable with 12 scoreless innings, 17 strikeouts, 2 walks, and just 3 hits allowed. He’s getting better at this level too with each passing start. In 14 frames, covering three starts, Manoah was struck out 16 with a supported 14.9% swing & miss rate, walked seven and has also posted an elite 53% groundball rate.
