NY Mets +167 over ATLANTA

7:05 PM EST. Maybe we’re nuts but we don’t see how Charlie Morton (RHP - ATL) and the Braves can be priced in this range over David Peterson (LHP - NYM) and the Mets. After eight starts, Morton has two wins, a 5.08 ERA, a 1.44 WHIP and a right around average swing and miss rate of 11.4%. While he probably deserves better, he does not deserve to be priced like he’s John Smoltz in 1996.

David Peterson is coming off a fine outing at Tampa Bay and has yielded just three earned runs in his last 12.1 innings on the road. In this start at Atlanta, he’s up against a Braves club scuffling of late (.681 OPS last two weeks) and one swung around to its lesser platoon splits (.671 OPS, vs. LHPs). Peterson logged 12 strong innings against Atlanta last season (.426 OPS) and is very undervalued here.
