1:10 PM EST. Wade Miley (LHP - CIN) has struck out nine batters and thrown 11 scoreless innings to open the 2021 season. Dude also has a 64% groundball rate to go along with an xERA of 2.75. Miley is hot out of the gate and although we’re always preaching to buy low and sell high, there are exceptions to every rule. In this case, Miley is a significant home underdog to a team that couldn’t hit a cow’s ass with a shovel. In order to win ball games, Cleveland has to score runs and so far we have not seen any evidence that they can.

Shane Bieber (RHP) is the straight goods and indeed may be the best pitcher in baseball. He has surged from good to great quickly driven by a filthy cutter and adding 100 RPMs to his fastball. He's got five putaway pitches now and when batters do make contact, it's on the ground nearly half the time. He’s a true ace but if the Reds can keep it close or their sizzling bats can score a couple of runs, we have a great chance to win this one because Cleveland is fighting tooth and nail to score runs every day while Cincinnati’s offense is absolutely on fire. Bieber is 1-1 in three starts with a 2.11 ERA because he gets no run support from Cleveland’s anemic offense.
