7:10 PM EST. Ty Blach (LHP - BAL) is not going to win any Cy Young awards anytime soon. He’s made just five appearances with three starts and comes in with an ERA of 12.81 after a mere 20 innings this season.  He may give up nine in the first inning but we don’t care. We’re nit going to sugarcoat this and suggest that Blach is good. He’s not but he’s had good runs just like any other third-tier pitcher. Another run of mediocre skills and forgettable stats got him demoted to the bullpen last year, where his K-rate rose but it was a small sample fluke. If he can't cut it in pen, next step is off the roster. When xERA, skills keep saying you're replaceable, eventually teams will find someone to replace you. That’s Blach’s story and why the O’s are taking back near 3-1. Before we move on, it is worth noting that Blach pitched for the Giants and won 14 games combined in 2017 and 2018. He was +140 underdog against Mike Clevinger and -106 favorite over Hyun-Jin Ryu in 2017 among others. He beat the Tribe that day 2-1 and lost to the Dodgers 3-2. He got lucky both days because balls were hit right at people. That could also happen here ya know.

Trevor Richards (RHP - TB) has four wins in 22 starts this year. Last year he had four wins in 25 starts. He’s been a significant underdog almost every time he’s started over the past two years, gets traded to Tampa Bay and now he’s favored like he’s Orel Hershiser? This is a dude with a groundball/fly-ball split of 36%/39%m not to mention an xERA of 5.10. We understand that it’s been a favorite heavy year and the books are trying to stop the bleeding by posting numbers on the favs that make them unbettable. However, they crossed the line here and therefore the O’s must be bet.
