Give us all the Yu Darvish (RHP, CHC) we can have, as this man has the filthiest stuff in the majors. Pitching for the Cubbies, Darvish priced in this range is a steal. He has been on an amazing run lately, as over his last 10 starts, he owns an incredible 2.24 xERA and a 78/3 K/BB in 62 innings. He’ll face a Brewers team strikes out almost as much as any team in baseball. In the NL, only the Padres have struck out more times than the Brewers. Yu Darvish has walked one batter in his last 31 innings while striking out 42. Yu Darvish was the game's most skilled starter in five August starts and it wasn't close.

Gio Gonzalez (LHP - MIL) is Exhibit A for why you shouldn't pay for past results when warning signs are abound. That nifty ERA in 2017 was proven to be phoney, as his hit rate normalized. His waning ability to get strike one tells us the decline isn't over, especially as he struggles to reach 90 mph. Gonzalez has walked 16 batters over his past 22 innings and and comes in with a horrible 6.14 xERA. His xERA over his last three starts is even worse qat 7.71. This is the day’s biggest pitching mismatch but it’s not priced as such (Houston is a 3-1 fav on the road) so consider this the bargain of the day too.
