8:15 PM EST. Peter Lambert (RHP - COL) has a BB/K split of 22/44 in 66 innings (that’s kinda funny, no?), thus he’s always at the mercy of BABIP and other luck-fueled stats, which includes strand rates. Lambert will allow baserunners, that we can assure you of because he doesn’t strike out many but walks guys every single game. Over his last 39 frames, Lambert has walked 15 batters. His WHIP of 1.56 assures us once again that he’ll allow baserunners unless he gets extremely lucky. His xERA of 5.56 on the road is another indication of how beatable Lambert is.

Enter Jack Flaherty (RHP - STL), one of the best starters in the game that is quietly killing it these days. Flaherty comes into this start white hot as he has thrown a gem in three of his last four starts. His results and skills over his last nine starts have been tremendous, where he has thrown a gem in five. In those nine starts he is 3-1 with a 1.47 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, 3.53 xERA, 11.1 K’s/9, and a 2.19 xERA. This matchup lines up great, as the opposing Rockies don't hit well on the road with a .680 OPS and in his 12 home starts this season. Flaherty is 4-3 with a 2.89 ERA and 0.87 WHIP. This has 5-0, 6-1 or something like that written all over it.
