4:07 PM EST. Chris Bassitt (RHP - OAK) has experienced a back-slide since stringing together some nice starts in April and May. There is still some upside here if the 30-year-old right-hander can find his way to a moderate gain in groundballs. To that end, fly balls hurt him more on the road than in his pitcher-friendly home yard. Bassitt is also tough on lefties, which is a big key to beating the White Sox. That said, this is a massive straight fade against Chicago’s rancid starter.

Dylan Covey (RHP - CHW) went 5-14 with a 5.18/5.86 ERA/xERA split last year covering 122 frames. He had a bit of early success with a velocity uptick and an increased sinker usage, but then moved to/from bullpen as numbers tanked. Career MLB stats: 6-25, 6.51 ERA, 1.55 WHIP in roughly a full season's inning pitched but really, his alarming disaster start % says it all. In 37 frames this year, Covey has walked 20 and struck out 22. His 6.09 xERA is not even in the tiers of starters. He is without question one of, if not, the worst starter in the game and is pitching only because the South Side needs innings and bodies. Stack against him is the call.
