8:15 PM EST. The pitching matchup favors the Orioles, which is why we get the Rangers at such a great price here and we’re not going to miss it. Just know that if the better starter won every game, we’d all be rich. Besides, Dylan Bundy (RHP - BAL) isn’t nearly as good as advertised. Bundy has just one pure quality start in 11 starts this season, and faces a Rangers lineup that owns a .816 OPS against right-handed pitching. Over his last five starts, Bundy owns a 2.64 ERA and 0.98 WHIP, albeit with a 4.55 xERA. He is holding left-handed batters to a .665 OPS, however right-handed batters own a strong .890 OPS against him. Bundy has an overall ERA of 4.68 and a batted ball profile that doesn’t play well at any park let alone his own or this one with a groundball/fly-ball split of 37%/44%.

Drew Smyly (LHP - TEX) has been horrendous this season, as he has a 6.09 xERA with 6.3 BB’s/9. Four of his seven starts this season have resulted in disasters but we care not. The opposing Orioles do not hit left-handed pitching well, as they have a .687 OPS, which is fourth-worst in MLB. Furthermore, Smyly has 39 K’s in 39 innings and the over-anxious Orioles figure to help him out as well. While this is not a bet on Smyly v Bundy, it is a bet on the Rangers at home to beat a team that has 18 wins in 59 games after winning six of their first 10 games.
