2:15 PM EST. Miles Mikolas (RHP - STL) has looked quite good over his last two starts, and he excels when pitching in Busch Stadium (career .578 oOPS). He’s a good play against a Pirates attack which ranks in the league bottom-third in several applicable splits. Mikolas is very capable of containing this anemic offense and we’ll bank on the Cards to score a bunch.

Jordan Lyles (RHP - PIT) owns a hit/strand, HR/f-aided 2.20 ERA through 33 innings, which sets us up to sell this stiff as fast as we can. Under the hood, Lyles hasn’t been at all sharp over his last three games and will now draw a Cardinals nine which is much at its best against right-handed pitching. Jordan Lyles’ 86% strand rate is about to blow up because he possesses a pretty soft skill-set. His K-rate currently sits at a career high level, but his swing and miss rate has dropped back down to 9% percent, thus suggesting his strikeouts will soon drop off a bit. It’s also worth noting that Lyles has an awful line against current St. Louis bats (.989 oOPS).
