2:10 PM EST. Danny Duffy (LHP) has emerged as a consistent asset, posting a 3.30 ERA in June and a 3.38 mark in July. The left-hander even managed to overcome his low-scoring teammates and ineffective bullpen to go 5-3 across that 11-start stretch. Duffy is worthy of getting behind here when he faces a Twins lineup that has been a middle-of-the-pack group this year and recently traded away two key cogs, Eduardo Escobar and Brian Dozier. Minnesota has won the first two games of this series but in the 11 games that these two have played this year, the Royals hold a 6-5 edge.

Ervin Santana (RHP) sits in our fade tier primarily on the absence of quality results across his two starts this season (6.10 ERA, 1.55 WHIP) and there is real cause for concern, as his velocity has been down since returning from the disabled list. There are nothing but warning signs in Santana’s profile that include ugly batted ball rates of 17% grounders, 30% line-drives and 53% fly-balls. Santana is barely reaching 89 on the gun and his swing and miss rate of 5% is almost as low as one can get. In his last start covering 5.1 innings, he struck out one batter. Earvin Santana starting throwing clunkers often in the second half of last year, missed the entire first half+ this year and is simply not ready to get MLB hitters out.

PLEASE NOTE: One of the unique things about our website is that we provide write-ups every single day on every game we post. We’re not sure if everyone understands how time consuming that is and how difficult it is as well but if you do not, please try it one day and you’ll see.

That said, we’re not going to change that. We’ll have write-ups every single day like we always do but we’re also going to have another feature. You see, we post our games usually in the early afternoon or before 1:00 PM EST but there is a lot of movement and other intangibles that occur throughout the day that has influence on what we’re betting. Usually after 6:00 PM EST or thereabouts, we’re going to be adding other games that we’re betting on in a section called “add-ons” for today that we ARE NOT going to write up because it’s too time consuming and with an hour or less before the first game goes off, we just won’t have the time.

This is a feature that you will see on our home page with the other wagers and we’ll also tweet it out when our add-ons have been posted.
