8:40 PM EST. As you may or may not know, we have fine-tuned our Coors Field Fade angle a little bit and that means we’ll still be playing the run-line every single time that the Rockies are at home but we’ll choose whether we’re playing the dog or the favorite based on several factors. This one is a no-brainer, as the Rockies are a big dog at home with their best pitcher going and they’re also playing as well as any team in the majors.

Gerrit Cole (RHP) is obviously a great pitcher but great pitchers have been abused by Coors Field in the past, especially visiting pitchers and Cole is not immune. He’s pitched at this park just once over the past three seasons and in that start he was banged around for eight hits and four runs in six innings and got off easy because he also walked three and struck out just three.

Meanwhile, Tyler Anderson (LHP) is in the right form to take on the stiffest of challenges. The Astros will visit Coors Field as owners of the best road OPS (.803) and third best OPS versus left-handed pitching (.798). However, over his last four starts, Anderson has put up a 0.96 ERA and thrown a gem in three of those. He is also shutting down right-handed batters, as they have a .671 OPS against him. When we can get Anderson at home with a massive reverse-run line price, we’re grabbing it no matter the opposition and that applies here.
