7:05 PM EST. While we targeted Jonathan Loaisiga (RHP) for the fade in his first start, we watched that game and there was a lot to like with the 23-year-old. Making the jump from Double-A to the majors isn't usually an easy one but  Loaisiga did not look out of place after throwing five scoreless innings and racking up six strikeouts in that first outing. Loaisiga has all the tools and his main weapons are his highly touted fastball/breaking ball combo that sees his heater sit in the mid to late 90s and with that comes some impressive control. His breaking ball has pure life to it and he's able to generate bad swings from some very capable hitters. Loaisiga also has the very stacked Yankee lineup backing him and Aaron Hick's power surge has infected his teammates, as he smashed his third home run in as many contests, while his teammates added three more dingers in the series opener last night. Even if Loaisiga takes a couple of steps back, the Yankee bats should have a field day with what's left of Felix Hernandez.

Fading Felix Hernandez (RHP) has become a common occurrence in this space and we are certainly not going to let up here. While he was once the "King", Felix is now washed up in his early 30s. However, age is just a number and there are some long, hard miles on his 6'3" frame. On the surface, Felix has had a rough go with a 6-6 record and a 5.44 ERA, but he has had great success at new Yankee Stadium, which might explain why he's getting such a long look from the market today. Hernandez is 6-1 with a 1.41 ERA at The House that George Built, but we are far more interested in his recent road struggles. Hernandez owns a 7.71 xERA away from Safeco this season and he is yielding more fly balls and more hard contact than at any point in his career. Fade this stiff in the house where that combo yields early showers.
