10:05 PM EST. Tyler Skaggs (LHP) has a shiny 3.07 ERA and over his first eight starts, which provides us with another great opportunity to take back an inflated price against him. There are several things that drops Skaggs out of the likely strong start category. Tampa Bay has the AL's 5th best road OPS, while Skaggs has struggled to a 5.31 ERA in his four home starts. The Rays have the AL's second-best OPS against LHP. Skaggs is good to be sure but anytime we can take back a price like this with Chris Archer, you can pencil us in and we make no exception here.

With a 5.64 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in his first eight games, Chris Archer (RHP) has not delivered profits so far. We couldn’t care less because better days lie ahead. he skills support better days ahead. Even though he relies on his fastball (7% swing and miss) and slider (20% swing and miss) mostly, he is getting more hitters to chase his change-up (20% swing and miss) out of the zone (40% swing %) in 2018. His metronome-like swing and miss rate over the last four seasons say that the strikeouts will keep coming. Archer has a rock-solid 52 K’s in 53 innings against just 15 walks. At 29 years of age, the 6'2" 195 lbs, Archer is in the midst of his prime years. His three-year average for strikeouts and quality starts puts him in elite company, as Scherzer, Kluber, and Sale are the only other starting pitchers at those levels. We recommend that you ignore the ERA and buy the skills, as Archer has the goods to produce 250+ strikeouts with a sub-3.50 ERA in 2018, not to mention a great return on your investment.
