Kershaw is as good as it gets, as he has elite numbers in strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP, but his win rating is lower than Max Scherzer’s and that’s the bottom line here. Three double-digit strikeout performances place his K rating in elite air. In a 2017 start versus L.A., he allowed one unearned run and struck out 14 Dodgers in seven innings. Sharp command and the same elite numbers in three other categories make him a must play.
