10:00 PM EST. In a week-to-week league like the CFL, it's important to be mindful of over and underreactions. Last week, the Roughriders ran the Argonauts off the field at Mosaic Stadium in a 32-7 route that quite frankly flattered the visiting Boatmen. Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo has passed for 790 yards and four touchdowns since taking over for the injured Zach Collaros. He's also added a pair of majors on the ground as well. As impressive as Fajardo and the Roughies have been, we simply can't put much stock into that beatdown of Toronto. The Argos are a total mess and there was also a lengthy storm delay that likely favored the Roughriders who were comfortable in their own locker room. However, it appeared that both teams were just going through the motions in a low scoring second half that went late into the Saskatchewan night. That game was played on a holiday Monday, which also makes this a short week for Saskatchewan. Further inflating the Riders appeal this week is the season debut of Solomon Elimimian, but this will be his first action of the season. Expecting the veteran linebacker to be at full speed in a new system in his first game isn't a realistic expectation. Fajardo and the Riders' stock is soaring and we're selling.

It's just over six years to the day that the Stampeders were last a pooch in Regina against these Roughriders, which undoubtedly shines a white-hot spotlight on Bo Levi Mitchell's value to this team. What would this number be if the Grey Cup's Most Valuable Player were healthy and starting? Perhaps the Roughies would still be favored, as Calgary has sputtered out of the gate after losing their home opener against Ottawa in Week 1 and looking lifeless for 57 minutes last week against B.C. but they would not be priced in this range. Nick Arbuckle will get the start for Calgary and while he's a relative unknown, who the f**k was Cody Fajardo two weeks ago? Arbuckle came off the bench last week to lead the Stampeders back in the final three minutes of that game against the Lions with a pair of touchdowns taking his team from down 11 to up four in a flash. Yes this will be Arbuckle's first CFL start and Regina is a lion's den, but this is still a championship level squad that has not looked good. After two weak performances, the best thing for the Stamps here has occurred. They are being disrespected and they’re taking back significant points. Pencil us in for that.

NOTE: Although we know that B.C. is laying inflated points in the early game, we cannot recommend playing the Argos. We expect a B.C. blowout win with their 0-3 record being a big motivator but that would be a prediction. As tempted as we are to bet the Lions, we’re going to have to pass.
