7:00 PM EST. Situational wagering is an important part of our process and when we see an opportunity that’s in our wheelhouse, we’ll jump all over it. We trust we found one such opportunity here. If you caught the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State game on Saturday, you saw one of the most exciting back-and-forth ball games played all season. When the dust settled, the Cowboys of Oklahoma State stood tall, and after that 83-81 win in OT no less, the OSU faithful stormed the court ready to cut the nets down. While the win is nice, it should have been an armchair game for the Cowboys, who led 26-5 at one point. Instead, there were multiple lead changes down the stretch and when the final buzzer sounded it was bedlam, just as it was billed on the marquee. After that huge, emotional win, and a signature victory over their biggest rival, we have to wonder what the Cowboys, who are winless on the road, will have left in the tank in Lubbock tonight.

The Red Raiders started the season 15-1, but have fallen on hard times as of late. Texas Tech has lost three of its last four games including an embarrassing 18-point loss at Iowa State on Saturday. Before that, TTU fell at both Texas and Oklahoma, but we can forgive in-conference road losses, as it is very tough to win in that spot in the NCAA. Texas Tech was spotting points in its last two road games, and losing outright likely made it no friends in the market. Tech started the season unranked and climbed as high as #8 in both polls before dropping six spots this week to 14th. There is tremendous value in the Red Raiders, who still rank in the top-10 over at KenPom, which is a more accurate representation of where these teams genuinely are than the frivolous polls that are overvalued in the market.

With Cowboys up and the Raiders down, we can't help but wonder what this line would have been if this game were played a week ago. The last time the Red Raiders were favored in this range at home, they won both times, 77-53 and 74-58 against Baylor and Kansas State respectively. Both of those schools rank significantly higher (#44 & #32) than OSU (#67) in the power rankings on KenPom. TTU's stock is at the lowest point that is has been since its early-season surge and we're not going to miss out on this incredibly undervalued host. Swallow the points.
